Marine Charging Systems Leader Debuts New All-Digital Charging Platform

Portsmouth, N.H. – ProMariner, an industry leader in the design and manufacture of on-board marine charging systems, announced today its next generation ProMar Digital Performance Charging platform and the all-new ProNauticP Series. Combining digitally controlled and software-based power conversion technology with global energy management features, the new ProNauticP Series delivers global wide range AC input and power factor correction allowing all models to operate off standard household power connections anywhere in the world, anytime. ProNauticP addresses the trend of incorporating and using great numbers of 12-volt electronics onboard today’s power, sail, cruising and sport fishing boats. Boasting twelve digitally-controlled performance charging profiles with finger tip selection, ProNauticP fully charges, conditions, maintains and re-conditions batteries while extending battery life and increasing battery reserve power performance. Leading the industry with eleven selectable charge profiles and one custom profile, ProNauticP ensures properly paired charging algorithms to the boater’s choice of battery chemistry resulting in maximum battery life and performance.

The user-friendly and efficient ProNauticP Series features dual-digital displays that present realtime charging voltage, amperage and percentage of power out. Offering the ultimate in confidence, every model employs power-on self-start-up diagnostics with pass or fail status, as well as a discreet warning indication to alert users of faulty wiring or adverse battery bank conditions, without the need to decode LED patterns. ProNauticP models automatically remove stress on a fully charged battery by incorporating a built-in conservation mode that reduces float voltage when the unit does not register a load greater than 5 amps over a 72-hour period. Packed with intelligent features, the charger systems automatically recondition batteries to improve battery life and reserve power performance every 21 days if in a state of short- or longterm storage. ProMariner’s Distributed-On-Demand™ Technology senses and distributes 100% of available charging to any one bank or a combination of all banks; all unused charging amps are distributed to batteries requiring them. The ProNauticP self-calculates absorption & conditioning time based on its ability to analyze the discharge state of the on-board battery banks and incorporates fully automatic temperature compensation as a standard feature on all models.

“ProNauticP, our Digital Performance Charging platform, is the next level in digital and software power conversion design and execution,” said Gerald (Jerry) Demirjian, partner & senior vice president, ProMariner. “The new all-digital assortment provides boaters a smarter and faster charging technology that will preserve the integrity of performance and extend the life of onboard marine batteries.”
